Shepherd's Purse

Shepherd's Purse has dark green, toothed,
dandelion-like basal leaves in a rosette, and small, white,
4-petaled flowers that turn into flat, heart shaped seed pods.
Spring greens have a peppery flavor and are high in Vitamin
K. An extract made with the fresh plant is one of the best remedies
for stopping bleeding — in particular, nosebleeds, excess
menses, and postpartum hemorrhaging.
