Dr. Aviva Romm: Using integrative medicine to support mothers in the childbearing year
December 02, 2014
We're very happy to share a podcast interview with one of our favorite people: Dr. Aviva Romm!
Dr. Romm is a pioneer in the field of natural birth and botanical medicine for gynecology, obstetrics, and pediatrics in the U.S. She is a physician, midwife, an herbalist, an author, and an educator. A founder of the Yale University Integrative Medicine program, and a past President of the American Herbalists Guild, she is the author of seven books on natural medicine for women and children.
We asked Aviva about her professional evolution - from midwifery and botanical medicine to allopathic medicine. And we got to ask her about a favorite topic of ours: how these different modalities can work synergistically to support mothers in the childbearing year.
Want to know how to find holistic care for your pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding and parenting? Aviva also shared her advice on finding excellent integrative care for this special time.
We hope you'll enjoy this interview as much as we did! To listen, just use the podcast player below.
