Why Does My Tincture Taste Different?
October 03, 2018
If you've tried a few different blends, you will notice each product may have a unique taste. For example, More Milk Special Blend in the traditional alcohol-based tincture will have a sharp taste due to the alcohol and herbal constituents. However, the alcohol-free version will have a slightly sweeter taste because it contains glycerin instead of alcohol. Even within the same product, bottles can taste slightly different because of the herbs. Why is this?
The amount of water that the plants receive during the growing season, the location where the plants are grown, or the soil in which a plant was grown can affect the taste and, as a result, the taste may vary across batches. Rest assured, the formula stays consistent in our manufacturing process and the different flavors do not impact the effectiveness of the supplement!
If you are sensitive to taste, or have never tried a tincture before, you may find the taste to be too strong for your liking. If that is a concern, feel free to try our supplements in a liquid capsule—they have the same potency and efficacy as the tinctures, but you don't need to worry about the taste!
