More Milk® Special Blend is a goat's rue-based herbal blend to support breast milk production. This lactation supplement is a combination of five organic that work as hard as you do—goat's rue, fenugreek, blessed thistle, nettle, and fennel. More Milk® Special Blend is a concentrated liquid extract that gives you breastfeeding support in an easily absorbed traditional tincture.

Fenugreek, especially if taken in larger than recommended doses, can cause gastric upset or gassiness in the mother, and less likely, in the baby. In More Milk Special Blend, Motherlove blends fenugreek with fennel, a digestive aid, to counteract this possible side effect. Also, fenugreek is not recommended for mothers with hypothyroidism who are on medication, as it may lower the thyroid hormone T3. In rare cases, fenugreek can also lower blood sugar and cause breakthrough menstrual bleeding.

Goat’s rue, especially when taken in larger-than-recommended doses, can lower blood sugar levels. If you are insulin-dependent, please consult with a healthcare provider before taking this herb.

    Seems to be helping

    Seems to be helping increase milk supply when used with other herbal supplements and hydration. Capsules are absolutely worth the extra money over the tincture for the horrible taste alone.

    Effective

    I struggled with delayed and low supply. After taking the supplement my supply seems to have increased as my baby is latching longer but I still need to supplement with formula. Delivery of product also took longer than estimated.

    Made baby so gassy

    My baby started spitting up and was so gassy and fussy when I started taking these. Didn’t notice much difference in milk supply not worth it

    Both fenugreek and goat's rue may cause an upset stomach or gassiness for some mothers and babies. We've included blessed thistle and fennel in More Milk Special Blend to counteract this side effect. If you experience any gastrointestinal discomfort, please discontinue use.

    We recommend trying one of our products that are fenugreek and goat's rue-free, such as More Milk Moringa. As with any of our supplements, we recommend consulting with your healthcare provider prior to use.
