Differences Between Tinctures vs. Capsules and Liquid vs. Dried Herbs?

Differences Between Tinctures vs. Capsules and Liquid vs. Dried Herbs?

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MOTHERLOVE'S LIQUID EXTRACTS AND CAPSULES?

Initially, the herbal components in all our formulas are extracted in grain alcohol and water, resulting in what is commonly known as a tincture. To make our capsules, we remove the alcohol and add non-GMO sunflower lecithin, which helps stabilize the product. This thick liquid is then encapsulated in a vegetarian capsule, derived from vegetable celluloseThe liquid extracts and the capsules have the same herbal strength per dose. Both the tincture and the capsules get into your system quickly, but the capsules take about 20-30 minutes to digest, whereas the tincture is more quickly absorbed by the mucous membranes in your mouth. In the end, the main difference is the taste. Due to the high concentration of herbs in our tinctures, and the alcohol base, the tincture is very strong tasting. If you are sensitive to taste, or have never tried a tincture before, we recommend the capsules!

WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES TO LIQUID EXTRACTS OVER DRIED HERBS OR TEA?

Motherlove's liquid extracts are made with only the highest quality USDA Certified Organic herbs - picked and processed at peak potency. A liquid extract maintains this quality over time and has a high rate of absorbability. Dried powdered herbs can lose potency over time, making them less effective and requiring higher dosage amounts.
